The Dead Sea is a natural lake located between Israel, Jordan, and the West Bank, in the historic region of Palestine, fed solely by the waters of the Jordan River.
At 417 meters below sea level, its waters have an exceptionally high salt concentration, which does not support life—hence the origin of its name.
The waters of the Dead Sea have been renowned since Roman times. It is said that Cleopatra used the salts, mud, and waters from this area in her beauty treatments, which are still prized today for their remarkable healing properties.
The composition of the salt, water, and mud from the Dead Sea is considered unique in the world, due to its concentration of potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, sulfur, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese, lithium, and iodine—ten times higher than in other seas and salt lakes.
The Dead Sea’s waters act through osmosis, transferring their rich mineral content to the body through the skin.
The high oxygen levels and low UV radiation allow for an effective action on the skin, which absorbs these minerals, nourishing and toning itself, thus delaying the aging process.
